چکیده
In this paper, a complete operating cycle (OC) description is developed for heavy-duty vehicles traveling long distances in the region of Västra Götaland, Sweden. Variation amongst road transport missions accounted using collection stochastic models. These are parametrized from log data all influential parameters that may affect energy performance heavy trucks, including topography, curvature, speed limits, and stop signs. The statistical properties OC investigated numerically by considering some composite variables, condensing salient information about characteristics, inspired two existing classification systems. Two examples adduced to illustrate potential format, which enables ease detailed simulation efficiency individual vehicles, with application vehicle design optimization selection, production planning, predictive maintenance. particular, track used first example, Volvo FH13 equipped diesel engine, results indicate mean CO 2 emissions around 1700 g km -1 , standard deviation 360 ; second dealing electrical fleet sizing, optimal proportion shows predominance tractor-semitrailer (70%) equipping 4 motors 11 battery packs.

متن کاملSelective Catalytic Reduction for Heavy-duty and Light-duty Vehicles
Whereas previous emission limit values could be met by primary engine control measures, the limits for PM and NOx from heavy duty engines in 2008/09 (Euro V) and diesel passenger cars in 2014/15 (Euro 6) represent a challenge for the developers of diesel engines and vehicles. Due to the thermodynamics of the Diesel combustion process, it is difficult to optimise the combustion process for both ...
متن کاملComparison of life cycle greenhouse gases from natural gas pathways for medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
The low-cost and abundant supply of shale gas in the United States has increased the interest in using natural gas for transportation. We compare the life cycle greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from different natural gas pathways for medium and heavy-duty vehicles (MHDVs). For Class 8 tractor-trailers and refuse trucks, none of the natural gas pathways provide emissions reductions per unit of fre...
متن کاملDecentralized Diagnosis in Heavy Duty Vehicles
Fault diagnosis is important for automotive vehicles, due to economic reasons, such as efficient repair and fault prevention, and legislative reasons, mainly safety and pollution. Embedded systems in vehicles includes a large number of electronic control units, that is connected to each other via an electronic network. Many of the current diagnostic systems use pre-compiled diagnostic tests, an...
متن کاملOn-board diagnostics for heavy-duty vehicles: Considerations for Mexico
On-board diagnostic (OBD) systems monitor the performance of engine and aftertreatment components including those responsible for controlling emissions.1 Historically, OBD systems were first deployed in light duty vehicles (LDVs), in 1991 the United States and 10 years later in Europe. Those first OBD systems were very basic and had very little standardization, meaning that each manufacturer ad...
